RED CARDS
On this page there is a link to free, printable Red Cards. Red Cards come in a variety of languages (39 to be exact), and they detail your rights if an officer tries to speak with you. you can slide them under the door if they try to enter your house, or hand them to an officer. many people will print these out themselves and distribute them to community members, but you can also order official cards.
Unfortunately, under the current administration, agents might still try to ignore the law (and not be held accountable), but it remains important to share knowledge and make sure everyone feels supported in these times of crisis. it can be hard to remember what to say in the moment, even if you know your rights up and down.

linked above is a wesbite for what state you are in: includes all 50 states (needs updates, still helpful)
community is not superficial, community matters a lot.
it takes the ultimate courage to stand up for something you believe in and it is so much easier when you stand with others. this is the true magic and power of activism. in times like we are experiencing today, the true transformation happens when passionate people come together to insist on changing the status quo. cultivate your community with people who care enough to show the solidarity to speak out. being “not interested” / apolitical right now and not speaking out against the horrible violence / injustices across the world in any meaningful capacity, feels unacceptable. try to not give people a pass, even if it’s hard. holding people accountable to speaking out isn’t performative. speaking out is also not performative. we need to speak out while we still have the ability to. so, with that being said, go ahead, find your advocacy and take a stand and let your voice / writing be heard. simply, who knows? maybe there are others like you just waiting for a platform, too.
