I have always been creative, even as a small child. We moved around a lot and I spent much of my time alone. Creating beauty from cast off items is a passion of mine. I love hunting around thrift stores, estate sales, and garage sales looking for an interesting item to transform into something unique and beautiful.

Many people would describe me as an advocate for small business owners. Politics, policies, and regulations affecting small businesses never held much interest for me until I accepted a position working with a non-profit organization, the National Federation for Independent Business, or NFIB. This organization fights for independent business owners at the state and federal levels of our government, giving the local small business owner a voice in matters that directly impact his ability to operate a successful business. As a membership representative, I had to research many of these policies, mandates, and issues affecting these businesses and I developed a real care and concern for doing what I could to help. Subsequently, I created and continue to manage a Facebook group with nearly 6K members that local business owners can use to share their upcoming events and activities as another opportunity to promote their products and services.
