Hi, I’m Sara! Together with my husband, Ruben, and our three kids we decided to make a change in our lives. In 2013, we built our farm to give ourselves the chance to be in touch with nature and grow medicinal herbs such as lavender, chamomile and calendula. We are passionate about our environment and healthy products. For this reason, we chose to dedicate our farm to organic cultivation, ensuring quality over quantity. Whether you are looking for a quiet and easy-to-reach place to spend a great holiday in the nature, where your kids can live a unique experience in a warm and cosy environment, or you are looking to visit the medieval town of Bergamo and the nearby hills, lakes, castles, nature parks and other amenities, BEEcome B&B is the place for you. We are located at a few minutes’ drive from Milan/Orio al Serio airport, the A4 motorway and the Stezzano railway station and only 7 Km away from the hills and art history of Bergamo.

We are very conscious of the environment and we constantly strive to contribute to preserving it. Our crops are organic and we promote local and fair trade products. We only use eco-friendly cleaning products, environmentally friendly decor and we are committed to recycling and water saving. We also promote knowledge and dissemination activities through environment awareness, self production and creative courses as well as nature based events. Our green philosophy had a major impact on major design decisions for our farm, such as the installation of PV panels and water heating solar panels, as well as influencing our daily lives. We work constantly to improve our approach to the environment, and we look forward to sharing our commitment with you!

Our three rooms are equipped with all the comforts, and you are welcome to move freely in our common areas and to experience nature, through the animals and plants we take care of (including bees, chickens, lavender crops, a vegetable patch, etc.) as well as our play area. The surrounding countryside with its cycle routes, tranquillity, and extended landscapes are at just a few miles from the beautiful town of Bergamo. Founded in 2015, our B&B is open all year round. Its modern design merges seamlessly into the country landscape and is right next door to where we live; this means that, should you need anything, we are always available for you at any time of the day. We can advise on things to do in the area, or you and your kids could collect eggs for breakfast, or pick tomatoes for dinner with us. You are also welcome to use our common area independently, to use our kitchen and make some tea or a snack at any time of the day, and take advantage of our books and games library.

BEEcome B&B is designed as a family space: we are fully equipped to welcome children both indoors and outdoors. Our breakfast is served in our common area or in your room (upon request) and it is prepared from our best organic ingredients, which we either grow ourselves or source locally. Should you wish to have a home-made meal ready, we will also be happy to cook lunch and dinner for you. Our bicycles are at our guests’ disposal for trips in the surrounding natural reserve (Parco del Serio), hills, or just to reach the nearest bus stop to explore the town of Bergamo, with its medieval flair, art and history. Whether you are looking for a cultural vacation, a sport holiday, or relaxing break, this is the place to be!

Medicinal plants have always been a great healing remedy for mankind throughout history, but humans are not the only creatures to appreciate their properties: our bees love our plants too, and we love their delicious, sweet, aromatic honey as a result. We only grow organic crops because not only do we want to offer our guests the best possible products, but also because we care deeply for nature and we respect its beauty. As a small farm, we take pride in our focus on quality over quantity. Our products are truly organic: we work the land by hand, and we trust nature to take its course by only intervening when necessary in order to get the best products possible through environmentally friendly growing methods. Learning from the discovery of nature is a constant source of delight, from the moment we wake up and see the dawn and flowers from out the window, throughout the day when we welcome our guests and share this beauty with them.

We grow chamomile, calendula, lavender and many other medicinal herbs. We grow our vegetables, fruit trees, soft fruits, free range chickens and our precious bees play a key role in pollination and maintaining biodiversity. At our shop, you can find a variety of home-made in house products, such as herbal tea, honey, jam, and lavender based products. Our internal workshop with drying facilities is where we turn our medicinal herbs into herbal teas, soft drink concentrates, preserves and jams. Our production depends on seasonal change and crop yield; therefore, we only have limited availability for some products, and we recommend ordering in advance to avoid disappointment. We will be happy to provide a personalised product designed around your taste and preferences.

We are based in Stezzano, a small village south of Bergamo. Stezzano is an ideal starting point to go on to explore a great range of art, culture and nature sites across the Lombardy region. The beautiful town of Bergamo is famous for the seven hills surrounding it, its Unesco awarded venetian walls, medieval towers, unique hill landscape, museums, picturesque alleys, churches, its cable railways (authentic funiculars) with attractions to suit all tastes. The famous Malpaga Castle is only a few kilometres away from our B&B. The castle is open to visitors in the summer months and offers an excellent program of recreational events, markets and historical re-enactments. Our B&B is also within easy reach of Parco del Serio e dell’Adda natural reserve, lake Iseo and Lake Como, the valleys around Bergamo. Orio al Serio (Milan) international airport is 10 minutes’ drive away, and we can pick you up, if you so wish. Stezzano also has a train station, which is on the Bergamo/Treviglio line.
