Cammy K

Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Cammy K seeks comfort in the old-fashioned. With an acoustic guitar or electric bass in hand, and a style reminiscent of a Woodstock ‘69 festival-goer, she brings to the world a sound as timeless as beloved folk artists from the 70s. It’s no wonder then how artists such as Joni Mitchell and Fleetwood Mac have played a crucial role in helping shape her individuality. Yet the inspiration doesn’t stop here. Growing up on the sunny California coast, Cammy found abundant admiration for the nature around her. To this day, it’s something that still fuels her songwriting and lust for life. “My family always prioritized getting outside and taking advantage of what an insanely beautiful state we live in,” Cammy says. “I find a lot of my lyrics reference nature. It’s always my first instinct to write a nature metaphor, whether it’s talking about clouds, trees, or falling face first in the ground.” - Words by Noa Jamir
