Primer Impacto gave an exclusive first look of Siggno bass player Jacob Turner on Wednesday, almost five months after the musician’s near fatal car accident. The Univision television program showed video of the 22-year-old spending time with family and band members during a visit at a Houston hospital, where Turner is currently receiving rehabilitation on the road to a slow recovery.

For Jesse Turner, South Texas represents a wealth of memories where he has shed tears of joy and sadness.
"Corpus Christi is literally my second home," the vocalist for Grupo Siggno said. "We've shared a lot of memories with a lot of people there. Over 17 years, I don't even call them fans anymore. I call them friends."
Anita Aguilar is one of those fans devoted to the group. She has seen them perform live several times in Corpus Christi, with the latest being their CD release party at Brewster Street Icehouse. "I can't wait to go," said Aguilar, who purchased tickets with her friend and sister two and a half weeks ago. "Siggno's music appeals to all ages, and that's what makes them so awesome. ... I love their style, I love the music, and I support them."
Support from fans like Aguilar has been key for the group, whose life changed in February, Turner said. Bass guitarist and Turner's son, Jacob, was in a serious car crash in Harlingen. Jacob Turner, a graduate from Carroll High School, remains in the hospital in Tyler and is undergoing neurotherapy.
The band's tour follows the release of its latest album "Yo Te Esperaré," which Jacob Turner recorded with the band.
"The song 'Yo Te Esperaré' we dedicate to him," Turner said. "Throughout the song, it talks about how it feels like someone is taking a part of me. It signifies that we're out here working and waiting for him. When you go to the show, we dedicate a part of the show with him."
At each show, the band dedicates time to talk about Jacob's story and recovery.
"He's still with us in every song, in every breath, at every show and every day," Turner said. "He's got a very long road ahead of him."
Turner said the group's music is about life.
"Each song is a story, and I've shared my whole entire life,"Turner said. "I've written about my breakups to some of the things that I'm living today like with my family, struggles, sacrifice and my son, and we'll share that energy on stage."
