
Joseph "Joey" Middleton
Command Sergeant Major Middleton Spent 27 Years in the Army, with 23 in special operations. He attended Assessment and Selection and the follow-on Operator Training Course, graduating in July 2001, just before 9/11. He has been deployed 16 times and has held leadership positions ranging from Team Leader to Squadron Command Sergeant Major. He also spent time as the Squadron Operations Sergeant Major, overseeing and directing more than five operations across four continents. After his retirement Joey began working with SOF Support, a charitable organization that supports Special Operations Forces and their families, and founded Surf to Summit Coffee Roasters. Joey is married to Valerie Lounder, who has stood by him for over 20 years, enduring two decades of deployment and demanding work hours. Her unwavering support remains one of life's great blessings to him. Together, they have two children, Kobe and Ava.
