Josh Warren

Born in Edmonton, AB & raised in Victoria BC, Josh Warren is a bandleader, multi-instrumentalist and composer currently based in Toronto, where he’s had the privilege of studying with Rich Brown, Alex Dean, Larnell Lewis, Mike Downes, and many more of Canada’s most renowned musicians as a student at Humber College. At only 19 years old, Josh has been featured as both a bandleader and a sideman at many notable festivals, including the TD International Jazzfest, Fernfest, and Victoria’s Lights of Wonder festival. He’s also been lucky enough to perform in an ever-expanding list of cities across Canada, including Victoria, Toronto, Vancouver, and Nanaimo. As a freelance bassist and guitarist, Josh plays all kinds of music - from swinging straight-ahead jazz to high-energy pop, rock, and soul. Josh’s influences span a diverse range of genres including jazz, fusion, hip-hop, R&B, rock and funk, which is heavily reflected in his original music.
