Wagwan famalam, and wagwan friends. I'm Lee Hybrid Desire aka LeeHD, and I'm a multi-disciplinary mixed media artist & illustrator based in West London, born and bred in Harrow. Some of my favourite mediums are spray paint, watercolour & inks, felts and fine-liners, but if it makes a mark, i'll draw with it. As far as canvases go, walls, clothing and human skin are all fair game if 300gsm paper isn’t an option. I get obsessive about finding the beauty in the mundane & in the meditation in the process of creating. Art isn't what I do, it's who I am and what makes me tick. My work focuses on portraiture, mark making & colour. Trying to keep my art tangible, analogue AF, and full of energy and life whilst still keeping true to my goth heart is a balancing act that keeps me busy. My work aims to comment on my Black Brit-Jamaican experience through my personal lens as a queer black woman.
