Matthew Sutton

A passionate individual on a mission to make a difference in the lives of others. Whether it’s volunteering my time, driving a friend’s kids to school, or simply lending a helping hand, my goal is to bring kindness and support wherever I can

About Me:
Hey, I’m Matthew Sutton, but many know me as Jarl Hrolfr. I’m a queer, poly immigrant from Australia, which means I don’t have access to the same government support as many others here in the U.S. Two years ago, I was diagnosed with ADHD—finally getting answers, but also realizing how much I’d been struggling without knowing why. Life has been a fight. My wife and I have been pushing through every challenge, but we’re at a breaking point. If things don’t change soon, they’re going to get worse, and that’s why I’m reaching out.
Current Situation
My primary income is driving for Lyft, and we have been managing to stay ahead of debt collectors. But a recent minor collision has put me out of work—I can’t drive for Lyft until I get my vehicle fixed. The problem? I need $2,500 for the deductible, and it’s almost impossible to earn that when I can’t do my main job. This isn’t just about asking for money—there are a few ways you can help:
Support Resist and Rebel
My online protest wear company isn’t just about making statements; it’s about action. I’m also bringing on a friend’s trans child, who is currently fighting their school district’s harmful policies. Every purchase supports both of us in this fight. We started this venture with zero capital, so we are still growing our product range and social media presence. Supporting our page would be amazing.

I’ve always been someone who gives what I can—whether it’s volunteering, driving a friend’s kids to school, or just showing up for my community. I’m working on turning some of my passions into small businesses to build a more stable future. Supporting me here helps fund that journey.
Direct Support
If you’d prefer to help financially, Venmo is the best way. Every bit helps us keep our heads above water while we push forward—especially right now, as I work to get my car back on the road.
I’ve been deeply involved in the local kink and poly communities, giving my time and energy—at least until 18 months ago, when I had a major breakdown. Even now, I do what I can because I believe in showing up for the people around me. My friends and family, many of whom are LGBTQIA+, are part of why I keep fighting so hard. We’re not giving up. But right now, we need support. If you can help in any way—whether by donating, making a purchase, becoming a supporter, or even just sharing this—it would mean the world. Thank you for reading, and for being part of our fight to keep moving forward.
