Somatic Skin
Helping you reconnect with your body by nourishing your skin and easing physical and emotional tension
About Amy
Hi! I’m a licensed esthetician and bodyworker, and I’m here to help you reconnect with your body and release any physical and emotional tension you may be holding on to. I use your skin, muscles, lymph, and fascia to influence your nervous system, feed your skin organic, plant-based skincare, while weaving in breathwork and meditation.
My first love was the brain, and I have my BA in Psychology. Then I found Somatic Psychology, which focuses on the mind-body connection and is based on the premise that the body expresses and holds emotions, and that traumatic events or unresolved issues can become trapped in the body.
Synchronously, I found facial massage. I’ve struggled with anxiety and jaw tension most of my life, and Botox was a quick-fix that never addressed the root cause; I found the tension to move elsewhere in my face, and the anxiety remained.
I combined somatics with facial massage, and realized I wanted to share my technique with others. So I created Somatic Skin!
