Think 3-2-1 Crisis Intervention Workshop
Problem: Bottom line, we are losing loved ones to suicide. Suicide is no respecter of persons. Suicide is a mental health crisis because suicide ideation begins in the mind. Suicide ideation is a stage where a person experiencing extreme stress feels there is no other way out of their pain (emotional, mental, physical, psychological, and spiritual) but to kill themselves. Everyone is vulnerable to suicide ideation; however, no one has to die by suicide. When we can effectively mobilize many to become effective crisis interventionist then may we see numbers of suicide decrease.
Possible Solution: Mental Wellness begins with an emotional and spiritual connection. Think 3-2-1 and The BE KIND Model is one way to promote mental wellness during times of crises. The refresher training provides problem-based activities that incorporates the levels of safety a person in crisis needs.
