Atlanta Play Co+

APC+ began as a play group for toddlers in 2018 and has since grown to include child led learning, field trips and youth entrepreneurship. We are led by 3 dedicated Atlanta moms, Derrin Moore, Britny Perry and Monica Tompkins. Each bring a unique touch to our group within their expertise. Derrin Moore - Entrepreneur + Community Advocate they call her Coach Derrin Owner of Brown Girls Do Gymnastics, ELEMENT circus + entertainment, The Isla® Foundation Britny Perry - Stay at Home Mom (who isn't always at home) of 2 who has a degree in Education and loves finding new curricula to enhance our homeschooling journeys. Monica Tompkins - Stay at Home Mom (maybe should say Around Town Mom) of 2 who has a degree in Finance and has the best ideas for crafting with our crew.

Weekly Meet-Ups We host a weekly meet-up—our signature gathering for connection, learning, and play. These take place once a week on the same day throughout the fall and spring semesters. Whether it’s a local park, museum, or cultural site, our destinations rotate, but the day stays consistent. The full semester schedule is shared in advance to help families plan with ease. Monthly Field Trips In addition to our weekly meet-ups, APC+ hosts a monthly field trip on the second Friday of each month. These are scheduled in advance for the full semester and include access to some of Atlanta’s most exciting educational and cultural locations.

We celebrate the rhythm of the year with fun, inclusive events: Halloween Bash – A costume-filled fall celebration Winter Celebration – A warm and cozy event to close out the year End-of-Year Celebration – Our culminating spring gathering to honor the year’s growth and joy (new name coming soon!) Spring Bash (Middle School) – A lively, age-specific event just for our middle schoolers to hang out and celebrate together APC+ Prom (High School) – A formal evening designed for our high school teens to dress up, dance, and create lasting memories Winter Programming When temperatures drop, we shift to: Movie Days – Indoor social time for kids with a relaxed film setting Adult Night Out – Drop-off evening events to give caregivers time to themselves

APC+ is a secular cooperative community offering field trips, events, and park days for Atlanta’s homeschool and unschool families. We’re here to build connection, support, and joy through shared experiences that honor the diverse ways our kids learn and grow. The founders of APC+ choose to mask and deeply appreciate masking indoors and staying home when feeling sick, as a way to care for our community’s health and accessibility. Everyone is welcome, and we thank you for showing up with mindfulness and respect.
