Four funk-fiends endeavor to write music in every funk subgenre. These enterprising explorers go where many women and men have gone before – write sad stuff over happy music. Truly, we’re just four guys who love jamming together, stitch together jams we like, and for whatever reason, Cuyler writes sad lyrics over it. You can have a good time on a bad day. You don’t even need to change your mood and we certainly aren’t trying to. We’re here to honor the sad, and put some pep in your step all the same. Join us, and we’ll explore what Sad Funk is together. That’s what it means to be Funk For People In A Funk. Side note: People have asked “Bardware? WTF?” It’s not a reference to Shakespeare, despite the presence of a theatre kid among us. We chose the name while arguing over the origin of the Orcs in the Lord of the Rings books. It’s a reference to fantasy, and to be honest, in a DND way, we’ve all multi-classed into Bard anyway. Hope that clears things up. Okay love you, bye!
