
Bryan J. Field
Dr. Bryan J. Field is currently a program manager for the Cosmic Frontier (Dark Energy and Cosmology Research) in the Office of High Energy Physics in the Office of Science at the U.S. Department of Energy.
About Bryan
Bryan grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and attended the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago where he earned a B.S. in Physics with honors. He earned his M.A. and Ph.D in Physics from Stony Brook University at the C.N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics, partially funded by a GAANN fellowship from the Department of Education. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Florida State University and a Marie Curie Artemis Fellow at Durham University in the United Kingdom before joining the faculty at Farmingdale State College on Long Island where he earned tenure. He has been awarded a Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching; the highest merit-based award given within the State University of New York system before leaving academia for the Department of Energy. Bryan is also an award-winning playwright and a published poet.
