BLACK INFO FUTURES SYMPOSIUM 2026
I have been invited to present at the 1st Black Information Futures Symposium at University of Washington - Seattle, CALMA, Center for Advancing Libraries, Museums and Archives February 21-23
I'm excited to be presenting at my first academic conference since earning my MLIS in 2022 and beginning my career in archiving! I will be presenting Our Stories, Our Knowledge: Black Autistic Memory Work in Digital Futures with another fellow from the Autistic Voices Oral History Project.
I am asking for community $UPPORT to cover a portion of the expenses for the trip. The funds raised through the sale of the Liberation in the Library fine art print will be used for lodging, meals, and transportation while I am in Seattle. After my trip, proceeds from the sale of the print will be used to generate a mutual aid fund for library worker colleagues that I met at the start of my librarianship career.
Thank you for considering or sharing!
