SAVE THE PUPS + SUPPORT PET PARENTS
An initiative to help all dogs in Cleveland find home safely, get adopted, or receive care.
Click above to see all animals impounded at the Cleveland Kennel. Dogs not wearing a valid Cuyahoga County license tag will legally be held for a minimum of 72 hours to allow their owners to find them. These pictures are updated daily. If you see your missing dog pictured, please call 216-664-3069 immediately. These dogs are located at 9203 Detroit Rd, Cleveland, Ohio 44102.
Open Hours: M-W-F-SAT-SUN 10a-3P T-TH 10a-6p
Click above to see all of the amazing dogs and pups waiting patiently for adoptive moms and dads. New adoptables are added daily. Adoptable dogs are heartworm tested, microchipped, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated. Some dogs are already crate trained, housebroken and have completed sessions of professional training. The cost of adoption is $61 (or less if they are running a special) and includes their collar and a one year county license, if you live in Cuyahoga County. You do not need to live in the county or Ohio to adopt, but in person meet and greets are required.
Click above to see lists of local and national organizations that can help support you if you are financially struggling to care for your pet or emotionally struggling with the recent loss of a pet. These resources may be able to help you gain access to affordable vetting and pet food as well as spay/neuter, nail trim and euthanasia services.
THE CLEVELAND KENNEL IS FULL AND NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Record numbers of dogs are arriving at the City of Cleveland Kennel. As an open intake shelter, they have limited space, but are required to take in all strays found in the city. When we work together, we can increase the number of pets reunited with their owners or adopted and keep more dogs in good homes. This outreach effort is a project by local volunteers and Northwest Neighborhoods.
Please fill out this short survey to let us know if these resources helped you and what suggestions you may have to enhance this outreach project.
