Debra Sumner

My journey, like that of many of us, was challenging and colourful, my parents separated before I even started school. I lived with an Aunty who I adored; my education was minimal. I became a mum at a very young age. However, as an adult I made many hard choices, and one was to set an example that the restrictions during my youth did not define me. So, after my own broken heart and challenging relationships, I set out to build a new life, one I could be proud of. I began regular exercise programs which taught me self-care. I educated myself and became a mature age student graduating with a Bachelors, and I began my own business so that I could reach out and help others. Today I offer a Counselling service as I feel my lived experiences have helped me to understand the challenges that people face when they are working their way through the ups and downs of everyday life.
