THEATRE ARTIST & TECHNICIAN
Theatre has been a passion of mine since a young age—I still remember my mother taking a four-year old me to our local outdoor Shakespeare festival where she did makeup and effects. I don’t remember the shows, but I do remember the feeling of being captivated by the magic of a live performance. After spending many years in and out of theatre as a hobbyist, I left the nine to five world to pursue if as a career, and I’ve never looked back. I pride myself in being a quick study and an enthusiastic on-the-job learner. I believe in making a show as good as it can be. I like to bring an artist’s eye to technical work, while remaining dedicated to preserving the creator's vision at all times.
STAGE MANAGEMENT
I discovered a passion for Stage Management after realizing that it suited a lot of the skills and strengths I already lean into. Catching details, thinking ahead, creating order, but embracing disorder. Careful preparation tempered with adaptable improvisation. Theatre is chaos crystallized for one evening into a beautiful picture, and I like to think the Stage Manager helps frame the shot. I find ASM to be a very different job than SM but I love them both equally as they offer different aspects of the craft that I really enjoy.
OTHER THEATRE ROLES
When I'm not on a show as SM or ASM, I'm also happy to step into other backstage positions such as production assistant, stagehand, board operator, followspot operator, or other technician roles. I like to help make theatre happen wherever I can contribute, and I love to learn new roles and skills.
UNION STATUS
I am non-Equity, but pursuing Equity stage management apprentice credits, so I'm currently available for Equity or non-Equity shows.
