Authentic Performance: Freeing the Actor's Body
Join Brenda Leadlay in a six-week physical training course for actors, dancers and performing artists that encourages emotional risk-taking and identifies behavioural patterns that limit expression. The core of the work is based in 'plastiques —a methodology developed by Polish theatre director Jerzy Grotowski. Plastiques are simply physical isolations-movement explorations of one body part at a time in every direction it can move. The work builds heightened awareness, confidence and gives people the freedom to be who they are in a safe, supportive and fun environment.
