Hali Dardar (she/her) explores interaction design, new media art, and collective processes at the intersection of media, memory, and community. She has past experience in media production, cultural documentation, and system design. She is an enrolled member of the United Houma Nation, and co-founder of the Houma Language Project and Bvlbancha Public Access. Dardar currently runs Art Transit Authority to support cultural and digital design, is a Center for Louisiana Studies Fellow at the University of Louisiana (2026-2030), and an Indigenous Data Champions Fellow (2026). She has previously worked within the Language Vitality Initiatives at the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage, Shift Collective, and the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities. She holds a BA in print journalism from Louisiana State University a and an MA in Arts, Culture, and Media from the University of Groningen.
