About Kris
Kris lived in Cornwall with her cat Lady Marmalade. For over a third of her life she lived with Stage 4, secondary, incurable cancer. Until she died, she lived a life she really loved. Shortly after her diagnosis at 23, she started the first breast cancer education charity, CoppaFeel!, which reminds over 1.4 million people to check their boobs every year, successfully campaigned to change the school curriculum and most importantly, has saved many lives. She received a Pride of Britain Award, A Cosmopolitan magazine Campaigner of the year award, shortlisted for Third Sectors most admired charity CEO, and was awarded an honorary doctorate in Public Administration from Nottingham Trent University. She stepped down as CEO in 2016 and pursued speaking engagements, wrote a best selling memoir, dipped in the cold sea, served up coffee and cakes from her vintage truck by the sea with her twin Maren, whilst working for CoppaFeel! part time. Kris died in May 2024 at the age of 38.
