Jefferson City Jay Band

The music curriculum at Jefferson City High School has been developed to accommodate the diversity of the students enrolled in each course of study. The curriculum includes not only a wide selection of performance based on courses but also classes in music theory, music literature, and the humanities. The Jay Band (6th-12th Grade) serves over 300 students at both Jefferson City High School and Lewis and Clark Middle School. Performance Groups in the instrumental program include: The Marching Jay Band, Symphonic & Concert Bands, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Band, Pep Band, Symphonic Pit Orchestra, 8th, 7th & 6th Grade Bands, and Middle School Percussion Ensemble.
