Structured Visual Thinker

The Story So Far
I’ve spent 21 years perfecting an approach to making strategies that work. It’s called Structured Visual Thinking. Because clients needed to think harder and transform their businesses quicker. It’s a collaborative, creative, visual and facilitative approach that helps leadership teams resolve business challenges and exploit opportunities - as a team. It’s impartial and objective and always arms the client to execute a practical plan and not create a costly dependency on an external firm. It’s been very successfully applied to the world's biggest brands, institutions, governments and wider society. Before starting Group Partners I ran my own business in the media, marketing and advertising industry. I sold that business to the WPP Group plc. in the year 2000. Before that, I helped friends develop and market innovative technologies in Cambridge. UK - we launched the BBC Microcomputer. Within that came the formation of ARM - the silicon chip technology business that became one of the UK's most successful businesses.
Being A Creative
Growing up with an engineer as a father had the most incredible influence on me. He inspired me to be a creative. When I started out being a ‘creative’ meant something very different to now. Being a ‘creative’ meant a job role in an agency. So I built my own agency and realised how wrong my ambition to be creative was. Not that I change a thing along the journey though. The bit I missed was being a ‘creative person’. Being a ‘creative person’ is to have ideas, problems and develop concepts - a critical distinction beyond many peoples definition of creativity. Had I realised the difference I may have got here a little sooner - but I have no regrets - it’s been one hell of a ride.
