Jorge Moita
From 2000 after his graduation as Fashion Design Architect by the Lisbon University of Architecture Jorge Moita became Correspondent of COLORS Magazine invited to be part of the Benetton Communication Research Center FABRICA, becoming the project Manager of FABRICA FEATURES. Opening at the same time his Co-Funded Studio and Lab Brand Krv Kurva Design in Lisbon in partnership with Colleague Designer Daniela Pais. Achieving among others the National Design Award by the Centro Português de Design in 2002 with the La.Ga Bag project. Since 2005 he created and developed a studio and a production system based in the Women's Jail of Tires, Portugal. The project gained momentum with immediate international attention and recognition, giving birth to a range of high-end ethos products, developed in a low-tech environment, and making evidence of the challenges designers, companies and society can experience in the turn of the Century.
