"Unspeakable" is an immersive opera set in a city neighborhood where characters grapple with life’s unspoken tensions as a storm of the century threatens to disrupt everything. The audience is surrounded by speakers—creating a spatial audio experience that immerses them in each scene’s location and transports them into the middle of the drama at hand. Sounds traverse space and, coordinated with video design, guides the audience's attention across the stage. This innovative approach combines the auditory and visual elements, enhancing the immersive experience and heightening the impact of the opera's overarching themes.
