Kim Fifield Art

Kim is a mixed-media artist with a focus on eco-art. She currently lives and works in Tauranga. Inspired by the global movement towards sustainability, she strives to bring awareness to the importance, and the potential of repurposing and also utilising alternative eco-friendly materials such as algae based bioplastic. Within her decollage artworks, she gives new life to discarded and outdated print material by immortalizing them in art. A finalist in the 2023 National Contemporary Art Awards at Waikato Museum, and a finalist in the Miles Art Awards at Tauranga Art Gallery in 2022, Kim received her degree in Creative Industries from the Toi Ohomai, Tauranga and is now undertaking a Master of Fine Arts at Whitecliffe College of Art and Design, Auckland. She is currently an artist-in-residence at The Incubator Creative Hub located in the Historic Village, Tauranga.
