Kareem Irby is a visionary publisher and creative director, renowned for his transformative impact on independent media.

His journey began in 2013 with the founding of Alpha Fashion Magazine, a platform born from Kareem’s self-taught passion for publishing and editorial excellence. In June 2014, AFM released its inaugural issue, quickly earning global respect for its high-quality fashion editorial and luxury brand collaborations. Over the years, AFM became a flagship title, featuring campaigns from Balmain, Zegna, Massimo Dutti, Balmain Hair Couture, and Alex Soldier, and showcasing notable talents like Tobin Bell, Derek Luke, and other international creatives. As Kareem’s vision grew, he founded Alpha International Publishing in 2021, bringing together his expanding portfolio under one unified umbrella. This included Riveted Magazine and SKN Magazine, both launched as part of Alpha International Publishing’s mission to broaden the scope of independent media. Riveted Magazine explores culture, fashion, and creative expression, while SKN Magazine centers on beauty, skin, and modern aesthetics. In 2025, Kareem introduced Leniency Magazine, which officially launched in 2026. Leniency is a manifesto of defiance and rebellion, celebrating unorthodox beauty, raw storytelling, and a counterpoint to traditional fashion norms. Through Alpha International Publishing, Kareem Irby has crafted a vibrant ecosystem of publications—Alpha Fashion Magazine, Riveted Magazine, SKN Magazine, and Leniency Magazine—each reflecting his commitment to creative freedom, cultural dialogue, and innovative storytelling.
