Kirby Marshall-Collins

Hello, hello, I'm Kirby Marshall-Collins, and I'm a TV drama writer and director. I'm available for staffing. My debut short, "Ways to Fly," is screening at PAFF this February! I'm drawn to emotional character moments across all mediums, no matter how earth-shattering or subtle they may be. I want to write shows that create community and inspire change. Ones with a solid mix of heart and humor. You can find me writing endearing, grounded, character-driven dramas, just as easily as my fun and fantastical coming-of-age stories with a theme of self-advocacy. Wherever I go, I look out for traditionally minimized/supporting chars, so women, Black, LGBTQ+, youth, and chars of color, I got you. Outside of writing, I'm big into teaching, crafting, and sharing pics of my nieces and nephews. Let's chat more!
