As an expert in irregular migration, I can tell you that it's highly unlikely the migrant flow will come to a halt. The motivations behind migration have become deeply ingrained in the minds of migrants, making it incredibly challenging, if not impossible, to deter them. Rather than focusing on security measures to decrease migration, it would be more beneficial for countries that have played a significant role in the impoverishment and marginalization of migrant nations to address the root causes they have perpetuated for many years in their homelands.
