Mode 7 is a writer and rapper from Los Angeles, California, taking hip hop to another level with his original style of clever but conscious game music inspired hip hop. Raised on a heavy diet of video games and west coast rap while growing up, Mode 7 now combines and reimagines his love of Super Metroid and Tupac into a unique sound all his own. Beginning his musical career in 2022, Mode 7 has already released several EPs and mixtapes via the net label Game Music 4 All, with much more on the way. Writing video game rap ranging from popular titles like Zelda and Super Mario, to niche classics like Contra and Chrono Trigger, Mode 7's style covers a range of hip hop and subject matter. Emotion comes through strong in many ways on Mode 7's music, tackling subjects like love and heartbreak, mental health, inequality, and loss with his own irreverent, often comedic bars.
