About Nadia Shaik
I am Nadia Shaik, a professional multimedia writer, award-winning author, and emerging artist behind debut adult speculative fiction-folktale author imprint Nakia Shade.
Explore my debut novel series and dive into the world of djinns, saints, serpent queens, angels, and mermaids to experience the power of shared humanity through these fantastical beings.
I draw inspiration from diverse roots. Raised in the 90s in a blended multiracial interfaith family in Chicago's Southwest Side, I craft stories that transcend surface-level narratives. My professional credits include Dark Horse Comics and recognition by The Book Doctors as America's Next Great Author 2022 Semi-Finalist. I am a proud graduate of Larissa Martanza's OC Arts Studios.
Beyond my creative pursuits, I love spending time with my Grandma Nell, exploring Oregon and the USA, and supporting new media, arts and writing education, and cultural experiences.
