Prince Shakur is a Black writer, radical educator, and digital organizer known for creating powerful political education content on Black history, anarchism, and direct action. As the host of The Dugout, a video essay series on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, he breaks down complex topics like COINTELPRO, Black anarchist movements, queer rebellion, and global liberation struggles for wide, engaged audiences. His journalism has appeared in outlets like Teen Vogue, Vice, Afropunk, and Catapult, where he covers issues including police violence, state surveillance, and diasporic identity. His debut memoir, When They Tell You To Be Good, was named one of TIME Magazine’s Most Anticipated Books and praised by Publishers Weekly as “a searing account of self-discovery amidst the unyielding weight of structural oppression.” Through his media work and grassroots organizing, Prince Shakur is building a vibrant ecosystem of radical Black storytelling, education, and action.
