Located on 135 acres in the Mountains of East TN, I [Michael Folta] am building this retreat center using harvested timber and reclaimed materials from the site. During my 2023 Thesis Project at Virginia Tech, I designed four structures: a place to sleep, eat, meet and see. Over the next few years, as I raise funds for construction, I hope to make this a reality; a space that friends, family, and anyone in need of restorative rest and natural solitude, can find here.
