SAMARITUAL is a pluri-disciplinary New York based atelier founded by Beirut born, artist, futurist, imagination activist, advisor, educator and speaker Samar Younes. A Central Saint Martins alumna, she also currently serves as a Mentor at NEW INC, part of New York's New Museum. With 20 years as an artistic director and most recently blending generative AI with artisanal (hand) intelligence, Samar’s work boldly confront stereotypes of the global south through an ancestral futures narratives, poetically blurring the lines between the various vernacular aesthetic-based disciplines by exploring them through each other's lens, craft and method interconnecting themes around interspecies harmonies, neuroaesthetics, healing, repair, circular and regenerative economies, craft and design, kaleidoscopic pluriverse identities and more. With SAMARITUAL, she serves as a CREATOR, CATALYST and CULTIVATOR through a radically imaginative approach to worldbuilding. 🌍
