THE SASSAFRAS SWING SET

The Sassafras Swing Set with Stefanie Pepping will take you back in time to the 1920's-1950's, "Midnight in Paris" style. We play a mix of Dixieland and gypsy jazz style, with a dash of western swing, and love to bring life to long-lost (and long-loved) tunes, keeping their integrity and original vibe. Our music pays homage to the spirit of Django Reinhardt and gypsy jazz, incorporating the sultry stylings of Billie Holiday, the timeless elegance of Peggy Lee, and the emotive depth of Patsy Cline. We've been playing in Texas for over ten years now, often alongside amazing dancers from the local swing dance community. We've played at The Big Easy, Dan Electro's, Nova, Bendt Distillery, The Balcony Club, Bastille Day, Reveler's Hall, The Kessler, Sons of Herman Hall, The Free Man, and more. We also love playing for weddings and private events. We love what we do!
