Sion

Sion is a singer-songwriter from Houston known for her unique storytelling ability and her nostalgic vocals. On July 1, 2023, she released her debut album entitled "OYSTER" that takes listeners on a journey of losses, enlightenment, and self-discovery. This album follows the storytelling of her 2021 EP "Growing Pains" and gives listeners a glimpse into her maturation as an artist. She is working on her sophomore album, title to be announced. PERFORMANCES
From House of Blues to Rice University, Sion has performed all over her hometown, her music leaving an imprint on those who experience her performances live. In May 2024, Sion had the honor of sharing the stage with Addis Ababa’s biggest jazz band, Keyn Lab, at Fendika Cultural Center and Upscale Lounge, performing classic reggae tunes and her original music.
Sion has hosted monthly live music events in downtown Houston since March 2023, first creating Pop-Up Picnics and Performances, a platform for local artists and BIPOC business owners to expand their audiences and build community ties. In September of 2024, she hosted Music Under the Moon, bringing together some of Houston's biggest up-and-coming artists, including Ejay Mallard., Nicotine and the Warmtones, Shelby Ruger, and more, together for one beautiful night.

COLLABORATIONS
Sion works closely with sound engineer and musician John Allen Stephens, owner of Third Coast Recording Co., and has been since her first project “Growing Pains” in 2021. The pair are currently working on her second studio album, and with his collaboration, Sion has honed her sound and vision as a musician in a way her audience has yet to experience.
She’s also worked closely with talented Houston r&b artist, Ejay Mallard. Their song, “Proof,” is featured on Mallard’s 2021 album “Healium.” The two have teamed up once again for Sion’s latest single, “Faithful,” which features both Ejay Mallard. and renowned Houston rapper, Tobacco Ryan.
