Skyloth is a metal band based in Amsterdam, led by founder Ilya Sapachev. The band draws influences from Gojira, Killswitch Engage, Loathe, and Mastodon, blending post-black, progressive, melodic, and death metal with metalcore. By consciously crossing genre boundaries, Skyloth creates a sound that is both distinctive and emotionally powerful. Skyloth’s music is built around balance: melodic but not pop, heavy but not overly extreme. Their songs explore themes of human nature, the roles of god and devil, and moral relativity, combining atmospheric clean vocals and harmonies with intense, impassioned screams. The band has released 3 full-length albums and two arthouse music videos. Their live performances express the full spectrum of emotion — from pure aggression to deep melancholy — creating an immersive and cathartic experience.
