Sacred Smudging

In my lineage, we believe that the smoke from burning herbs purifies a physical space, objects, individuals AND energetic dimensions, such as our Energy body/template, as well as the mental, emotional and spiritual realms. Shamanic smudging is carried out by intermediaries of the material and the spiritual realms. When the ritual is performed by an experienced (clear & balanced) energetic channel/body, it is more powerful, safer, and longer lasting than simply saging yourself or your environment. 🕯️

FIRE the burning of the sacred herbs creates change, transforms earth, consumes decay, moves energy, and invites vibrancy. it is a gift from the gods. EARTH the holding of the herbs themselves, as well as salt, grounds & protects the body. Bringing stability rooted in stillness. And connects to the structure of the space. AIR the feather used to fan the smoke & the smoke itself supports the intention and nurtures the mind of the shaman. Constructing meaning from the energy and moving her words (spells & prayers). WATER the vessel to honor the challenge while moving obstacles. water + salt can access the emotions and unconscious experience of the space and its inhabitants, bringing it up to the surface of life to be acknowledged and cleared. 🕯️

VOICE prayer warriors are clear, energetic conduits. declaring the intention out loud, reciting a blessing or prayer, invoking protection from our helpers, and restoring power back to the guardian of the space, object, body.
