‘Southern breeze’ began with one line - “I know you wanted more just like a sailor and his ghost”, which landed after reading the Yukio Mishima novel, The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea. When one person chooses to leave a relationship it’s an opportunity for reinvention and rebirth, a catalyst for change, not just for the one leaving but also the one who’s been ‘left behind’. ‘Southern breeze’ explores what happens when that person who was ‘left behind’ seizes the moment and becomes something new. “I’ll try a dose of your medicine Maybe I’ll look to the skies ‘cause that unchecked thought arrived Made mine a crazy life”
