Summering Louise
Flower Designer - Sarah Lasseron
About Me
Hi, I’m Sarah.
I am a veteran NYC public school teacher turned floral designer. I bring my joy of learning, building relationships and creating into the work that I do. I launched Summering Louise to bring color, depth and most importantly life into the everyday of myself and others.
Since my teenage years, I’ve been interested in the world of flowers and floral design. I credit my grandfather who opened this world up to me. His backyard was always so beautiful. I can still picture him hunched over, tending to his flowers wearing his worn out Birkenstocks. His arrangements were the first designs I had ever seen. He was particularly inspired by the style of Ikebana. As I professionally pursued the world of education, floral design remained a dream and I lived vicariously through my grand-father’s creations.
Today, you can catch me selling bouquets and arrangements by request. I also create centerpieces and more grand arrangements for small scale events and weddings. I am always seeking out ways to develop professionally by attending flower workshops & classes, and volunteering my time to organizations like Bloom Again Brooklyn.
