I cut my teeth right out of college working for an Entrepreneur of the Year by Entrepreneur Magazine. He saw potential in me and hired me onto his startup merchant bank. There, I was exposed to complex financial structures and companies whose books were full of issues. But what always drew me in was the operator — the founder building something from scratch. That passion led me into early-stage companies, a hedge fund launch, and eventually a local CFO firm where I took on leadership quickly. It was there I met my co-founder Chris Gauvin. Despite very different backgrounds, we realized we were aligned on what founders really need: strategic support and ownership-level insight. So we launched Local Fractional, a CFO-led firm that combines nearshore accounting, forward-looking financial strategy, and AI-powered tools that give founders 24/7 clarity — because game-changing ideas don’t always happen during business hours.
