About Me
I am a Lecturer at Johns Hopkins University, the Film and Digital Media Editor of The Public Historian journal, and a scholar of the American Revolution. Before joining the Hopkins faculty, I was a GSAS Fellow at Harvard University, a Fellow at Yale University, a Fellow and Invited Research Scholar at Brown University, and a historian at Colonial Williamsburg.
A native of Baltimore and a veteran of the U.S. Army, I am an alumnus of Harvard ('16), Johns Hopkins ('05), and the University of Virginia ('10), where I earned a PhD in History, specializing in the American Revolution. I am also a member of the Society of the 1st Infantry Division, the National Council on Public History, and the Documentary Producers Alliance.
