THE FALLEN CLOUDS Selfies, memes, tweets; all live in the «cloud», an opaque metaphor of our times. Where are those clouds? What footprints do they leave on the ground? THE FALLEN CLOUDS is a research-based installation that delves into the socio-environmental resonances of digital infrastructures in Chile. It depicts the life and death of a cloud narrated by an algorithmic text and sounds resonating through a cumulus of floating digital matters: from minerals to e-waste. ☁️ LAS NUBES CAÍDAS Selfies, memes, tuits; todos viven en la «nube», una metáfora opaca de nuestro tiempo. ¿Dónde están esas nubes? ¿Qué huellas dejan en el suelo? LAS NUBES CAÍDAS es una instalación investigativa que ahonda en las resonancias socioambientales de las infraestructuras digitales en Chile. Representa la vida y la muerte de una nube narrada por un texto algorítmico y sonidos que resuenan a través de un cúmulo de materias digitales flotantes: desde minerales hasta residuos electrónicos.
