TIM SHERMAN MUSIC

Tim Sherman has been a professional, gigging musician since 1979 and an instructor of stringed instruments since 1987. Tim has decades of performing on the West Coast and Pacific NW. He is a three time recepient of the Washington Blues Society BB Award for Best Electric Blues Guitarist, and a WBS Hall of Fame member. Tim has performed with a who's who list of legendary NW musicians and bands: Stevie and the Blue Flames, The Dick Powell Band, Isaac Scott, Little Bill, Kim Field and the Mighty Titans of Tone and many others. His blues band, The Joe Cook Blues Band is the 2024 recepient of the WBS Award for Best Blues Band and a four-time recepient of the award for Best Traditional Blues Act. He also performs with the all star PNW Blues Guitar Slingers Showcase and is the guitarist for the NW BB King Tribute Band. Since 2015 Tim has performed on plectrum and tenor banjo with the Market Street Traditional Jazz Band.

Tim Sherman has been teaching students of all ages in the greater Seattle area since 1987. He is considered one of the most recommended instructors in the area by parents and students. Lessons are available in guitar, ukulele and four-string tenor or plectrum banjo. Beginners are ALWAYS welcome! Tim teaches at Metropolitan Music in the Maple Leaf neighborhood in North Seattle on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
