Edge Rusher BJ Green is eyeing Ole Miss
Lane Kiffin has emphasized adding defensive playmakers in 2024. The Rebels signed eight defensive players during the early signing period, including the #1 player in Mississippi, Kamarion Franklin. Now Arizona State’s BJ Green is looking at transferring to the Rebels. Green spent his first three college football seasons at Arizona State, where he was a walk-on in 2021. As a true freshman, he led the team in sacks, with 5, while he was utilized primarily on 3rd down passing situations. In 2022, Green created QB pressure on 22 percent of his snaps, 3rd best of any FBS defensive lineman and #1 for interior linemen. During his junior season in 2023, Green had 39 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, and one forced fumble. He had previously announced he was transferring to Washington. With Kalen Deboer taking the Alabama job, Green is looking into other options. The 6’1 270 lbs Green could be another solid part of a unit that Lane Kiffin wants to dominate this season.
