Hope Washinushi

Studied at The School of Art Institute of Chicago and studied 4 years of foundry arts and fabric printing. Upon graduating I started Yasuko Design which creates custom murals for residential and commercial clients. Expanding the business to include tile mosaics and working with interior designers to create custom upholstery and soft furnishings. I am a facilitator for Open Studio Project teaching summer art camps, after school art classes and as a visiting artist in Chicago public schools. I am the President of Young Evanston Artist foundation for the last 5 years. We run a yearly art event that involves all public, private and parochial schools in Evanston. It draws over 5000 families with visual & media arts, choral, performances, hands on artists events and food trucks.
