Zaidah Z

Zaidah is a writer, filmmaker, and artist from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Her passion for writing and filmmaking began at age 10 after she was gifted a camcorder, which she used to make home movies with friends. She pursued her dreams by enrolling in the Faculty of Film, Theatre and Animation at MARA University of Technology (UiTM), where she obtained a BA in Writing. After graduating, she worked at The R&D Studio, where she collaborated on projects such as the award-winning animated short film “Batik Girl” (2018), the animated series “Junglemajig" (2022), and Disney’s “Wizards of Warna Walk” (2019). Now, she’s working as a freelance writer, while managing her online shop called Midnight Pavlova.
