Styles of Fishing:
We provide guidance in a variety of fishing techniques on the Broads and rivers. For beginners, we recommend starting with float fishing using a stick float or waggler, or trying feeder and ledger fishing. These methods offer the best chances of success when targeting roach, rudd, bream, dace, or perch, all of which are plentiful in these waters. For a more specialized session, we can focus on catching the stunning Norfolk Broads perch, particularly using lures—a highly effective and enjoyable approach. Pike, however, are the only species we wouldn’t recommend targeting for beginners. They are surprisingly fragile fish that require careful handling to ensure their survival. Targeting pike is best suited to experienced anglers and is recommended only during the late autumn to early spring months.
