SELF DEFENCE | INTRODUCTION TO MARTIAL ARTS
Leaning how to defend yourself using martial arts can be way more interesting that you can imagine. We will be practicing basic skills of self defense, technics to escape or control an opponent, fitness exercises and having fun while increase your confidence, stamina and strenght.
Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art and fighting technique that is designed to help people of any size defend themselves. It’s also a terrific way to tone and firm your body and reap the health benefits of this beautiful sport.
The strategy is to dominate and control the opponent or attacker by utilizing proper body weight placement and leverage, this can be used for close combat in a defensive or offensive manner. Grappling is a hand-to-hand combat skill that rely on gripping or grabbing an opponent to hold an opponent in a dominant position or submit an attacker without no punches or kicks.
All these skills are great for self defense, boosting your confidence levels, awareness and control over your own abilities.
After learning these technics you’ll have more awareness of your surroundings, feel more comfortable on a close-combat situation, will gain control over uncomfortable circumstances and most important you will be aware of what you are capable of doing with your own body and the right mindset.
